Liz’s Boudoir Experience

I couldn’t get the question out fast enough before she said “YES!” when I asked Liz if she would be willing to write about her Sioux Falls boudoir experience with us. Liz is such an amazing woman, and I love hearing her story from her perspective.

Here is her story, written by Liz herself.

boudoir experience for Liz

From the moment the idea of having a boudoir photoshoot crossed my mind, I knew it was going to be a nerve-wracking experience. After all, not everyone is comfortable with the thought of being photographed in a lingerie outfit, let alone sharing those photos with the world. But something about the whole process intrigued me, a voice inside me kept urging me to take the leap of faith and confront my insecurities. So, I began my journey towards finding the right photographer.

Finding the right boudoir photographer was no easy task. I scanned through countless portfolios, read several reviews, and followed dozens of Instagram accounts before I found Maranda's work. Her images not only showcased her technical expertise but also exuded a sense of empowerment and self-love. At that moment, I knew I had found someone I could trust with my vulnerability.

Booking the session was just the first step; next came preparing for it. The doubt and second-guessing started to creep in as the days got closer. I wondered if I was making a mistake. Was I going to regret paying that amount of money or exposing myself in front of a stranger? To top it off, I had people in my life who discouraged me from doing it, telling me it was pointless and a waste of money. But despite all the uncertainty, I listened to my gut and put my faith in Maranda's expertise.

The day of the shoot approached, and I was filled with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Walking into the studio, I was greeted by Maranda's warm smile, and I could feel the butterflies dancing in my stomach. But as soon as the session began, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and relaxed Maranda made me feel. She took charge of the room, giving me clear instructions while simultaneously checking in on me throughout the shoot. Even though I was in lingerie, she made me feel like I was wrapped in a warm blanket of confidence and beauty.

As someone who's not the skinniest person and carries a bit of weight in their midsection, I was worried that the camera would not be kind to me. But Maranda's skills behind the camera, as well as her ability to connect with people, made me feel more confident and at ease. She highlighted my curves and made them look sexy, something I never thought possible before. I was blown away by her talent.

After the shoot, Maranda took me through the images, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I was amazed by how beautiful, sensual, and empowering the images looked. With each photo, I felt more and more confident in myself, and I realized that boudoir photography is more than just a photoshoot. It's a journey of self-love.

Picking out just 30 images out of all the ones Maranda had taken was a daunting task. I ended up purchasing more images, because I fell in love with so many of them. I fell in love with the ones that highlighted my true self. The ones that showcased my beauty, my sensuality, and my confidence. These were the images I wanted to keep forever.

In the end, I want other women to know that a boudoir session can be life-changing. It's an investment in yourself, your confidence, and your self-love. It's a chance to confront your insecurities, embrace your true self, and let go of any doubts that may be holding you back. Maranda was incredible, and I'm already planning my next session with her. Trust your gut, and take the leap of faith. You won't regret it.

Love Liz
